When I was a Private in the Army I bought a camera from a guy in the barracks. My First Sergeant taught me how to use it. My new-found hobby waned but my pastor/mentor Kevin has recently inspired me to take it up again. Nature is my preferred subject, as you can see for yourself. Your subjects are endless! Get an old pillow or have "someone" make you a beanbag to lean that 300 w/TC on and get some more! How about filling the frame with more face shots. Birds' faces, with those eyes, all sharp, colorful, and up-close would make a great series, I bet.
