I don't really get out much anymore; I've been trying to keep a low profile. I don't really need to, though, if I am patient. Everything I need is in my backyard.

What is happening here isn't what it looks like. Or not. This bird decided she didn't like this berry after all and just puked it up in front of me. Caught on 'film'...

Everyone knows that cell phones have lousy cameras. They're getting better but they are still pretty lousy compared to an SLR camera.

Honestly, I rather enjoy my cel phone camera, though. So I decided to make an album for those photos. They aren't perfect, but they are pure cell phone. It's a challenge I enjoy.

Born again

This is certainly a lot different than the choice we make as humans to claim Christ as our saviour but we always like to analogize ugly worms to beautiful butterflies as our rebirth. So I offer this photo and you can figure out the phase in the process. If you're an entomologist then that is cheating...

Sandies!

I love these birds. They make an obnoxious noise and raucous early in the morning but who needs to sleep in anyway? They stand about chest high to me and they probably taste like chicken. But as long as I have chicken I don't need to eat one. Yet.

Thirsty

We all get thirst and squirrels are no exception. These guys take great risk at getting eaten by hawks and cats, hit by a car or getting their picture taken. This little guy got his picture taken today. Let's hope it's the worst thing that happens to him this week...
