I got a new toy. Here are some pictures. Obviously just because the toy is new doesn't mean I can shoot any better, but you can be the judge of that. I'm still learning. Like, every time I go out!

When I was a Private in the Army I bought a camera from a guy in the barracks. My First Sergeant taught me how to use it. My new-found hobby waned but my pastor/mentor Kevin has recently inspired me to take it up again. Nature is my preferred subject, as you can see for yourself. By the way, these are cropped but there was no post-processing (sharpening, brightening, contrasting, saturating) done.
Yeah, no processing might sound cool, but with RAW, you have the OPPORTUNITY to add some contrast, especially to that lovely, ugly wood stark, and really bring out the nice detail and texture. It's there, and it's captured. Post-processing will just bring it out for you.
